Privacy: what this site collects

What the site itself collects

Almost nothing. Our pages set no cookies and store nothing in your browser. There are no analytics, no advertising code, no social media buttons and no embedded videos or maps. The fonts, the images and the one small script (it runs the menu and the filters on the data lists) come from our own domain, and the site's security policy tells browsers not to load scripts, fonts or images from anywhere else.

There are no forms. The search boxes on the bill tracker, trials list, timeline and enforcement log filter the list inside your browser, so what you type isn't sent to us.

Server logs at our host

The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like most web hosts, it may keep standard logs of requests, which can record your IP address, the time, the page requested, your browser type and the page that linked you here. We don't use these logs to identify readers, and we don't sell them. Hostinger's own policies govern how long the logs are kept.

Links to other sites

Our pages link to sources such as the Florida Senate, ClinicalTrials.gov and PubMed, and to My Mushroom Dispensary, the online shop run by our publisher (see About). Once you follow any link off this site, that site's privacy policy applies, not this one. For ordinary links, we ask browsers to tell the other site only our domain name, not which of our pages you came from.

The Products button

Every page has a Products button that links to My Mushroom Dispensary's order page. Its link carries UTM tags, labels in the web address that name this site, the button and the page you clicked it on. The click goes straight to the shop, not through our server, and this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, so we don't record it. Once you arrive, My Mushroom Dispensary's own analytics may record the visit, tags included, under its privacy policy.

Email you send us

If you write to newsroom@magicmushroomsmiami.com, we'll have your address and whatever you send. We use it to read and answer your message and to check corrections and tips. We don't add you to a mailing list, sell your address, or publish your name unless you ask us to. The service that runs our mailbox stores messages under its own terms.

If this changes

If we ever change any of this, for example by adding analytics, we'll say so on this page first and update its date.
